Circuit Breaker

Here’s another new musician that has sweet electro music and is worth listening to before he gets psycho popular and too busy to talk to you! Circuit Breaker is a young guy who makes music from his bedroom, but the quality is far from ‘mucking about in the bedroom’ material. Many people have said that his music sounds fairly similar to Massive Attack, Primal Scream and Spiritualized. He’s also contributed his music into 3am Association, a Trip Hop collective from Nottingham. Not only does he make his own music, he also does recording for local bands.

Check out his interview:

How did you come up with the name?
I stole it from Royksopp 🙂

Tell me a bit about yourself?
The names Dan Sheen, 17 and i’m from Kirkby – in – Ashfield near Nottingham, England

What did you do before you started making music?
Not much really, played a bit of cricket 😛

How did you start out/ was it hard?
I started out playing guitar in a few bands but got bored and thought I’d be better of doing it all myself… I was right 🙂

Any big plans for the near future?
Hopefully get a single out in a couple of months if I can get my arse in gear and get it sorted! I’m also filming my first video next week! Very excited 🙂

–Random questions–
What song have you been listening to most in the past few weeks?
Weekend Wars by MGMT like EVERYONE else! I’ve started getting into The Doors again too. Most new music seems a bit boring to me.

What one materialistic thing can you not live without?
Substance by Joy Division, but i suppose i’d need a CD player to play it on!

Do you have a secret name for your favourite inanimate object?
Yes, Hubert Cumberdale 🙂
(That’s the name of the finger puppet on the disturbing animation- Salad Fingers)
