Unwrapped is kinda like a Sunday market situation but there’s no one setting up stalls to sell their old things- or fruits and vegetables. Instead, fashion and design students/graduates as well as emerging designers come together and show off their creativity. This includes Fashion Design, Photography, Jewellery/Accessories and Graphic Design/Illustration.
The whole aim of this event is to allow designers to test out their work in public and see how everyone reacts to it. There are already many designers coming to showcase their work (listed on the site). It’s also a good way to give designers the opportunity to sell their designs to retail buyers and get some more fans. It’s not only for people in the fashion and design industry, it’s a chance for you guys out there to get your hands on clothes that aren’t even available in stores yet. Jewellery, clothes, art and photography will all be available for sale on the day.
This event will take place on Sunday 16th of March from 2-7pm. It’s part of the “South Perth Mends Street Carnivale”. If you’re a designer that wants to be a part of this event, you’ll need to fill out an application form available on the site.
